About Me
I completed my Master's in Filmmaking at the University of Sussex. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Film & Digital Media and Sociology, at the University of California, Santa Cruz. My concentration was screenwriting. I developed a strong understanding of screenwriting and wrote a feature-length film. From a young age, I deeply connected to films and was attracted to the power film holds. To me, films contain an element of magic - the ability to transport us to another time and place, to bring out emotions and alter perceptions. Curious to expand my film knowledge, I participated in a student organization, Film Production Coalition (FPC). My passion for films only grew and I gained more hands-on production experience. I’ve had the chance to work on several academic and independent projects, but I am always looking for new opportunities to develop my skill set. Films are a powerful medium because films are shared and watched worldwide. Films have the ability to expand audiences' worldly knowledge and spark intellectual conversations about society. Films explore and challenge socio-political issues, as well as enlighten viewers on cultures outside there own. I am drawn to films artistry to immerse individuals into a form of visual storytelling that encourages certain emotions & feelings.
